Learning curve

Learning is the modification of behaviour through practice and experiences. Through different trials, one is learning. This can be explained in terms of S shaped learning curve:

There are three stages in learning curve: slow beginning, steep acceleration, plateau. Plateau may be a period of stability after a skill is learned.

In measuring learning, response variation is important. Response (R1) before learning should be compared with after learning response (R2). Difference and direction of change give insight about learning effectiveness.
